Ellgia offer local businesses in Doncaster free waste audits

Ellgia Recycling Limited started in 2011 specialising in waste management, processing and recycling for commercial, trade and residential customers. Managing all
waste streams the company now manufacture Residual Derived Fuel (RDF) and Solid Recoverable Fuel (SRF) from its waste allowing them to go a long way towards achieving their zero to landfill policy.

Since its inception the business has developed over four sites across Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire with the latest site opening in Scunthorpe in 2014 at the old Bell waste site.
Ellgia now employs over 120 people, has invested heavily in plant, a fleet of over 100 vehicles and processing equipment. By focusing on waste minimisation through reducing,
reusing and recycling resources, they are working towards zero to landfill.

The free waste audit will consist of  an assessment of your current waste streams, proposal on how your business can use resources more effectively and reduce or eliminate waste.

Elgia have won a number of major contracts to provide recycling collections and waste management to organisations such as Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, British Sugar, Power Stations, Household Waste Recycling centres and local authority partnerships. Ellgia has also recently won the contract to supply waste management at both the Keepmoat Stadium and Doncaster Deaf Trust, both iconic venues within Doncaster.

Ellgia also recently won the award for Independent Operator of the Year at the MRW National Recycling Awards in a tough category that consisted of eleven other nominations.
The award recognises exceptional customer service, market innovation and growth and high performance – all that were easily demonstrable.

They were also runners-up in the Excellence in Corporate, Social and Environmental Responsibility category at the Doncaster Chamber Business Awards in December 2018.
The last 12 months has seen increased turnover from £25 million per annum across the group, with £4.1 million spent since January 2017 on infrastructure, buildings and site layout, as well as mobile plant, a biomass boiler and vehicles to support their expansion and growth.
