Crash at Queen Adelaide

On Tuesday 3rd March one of Ellgia’s skip vehicles was involved in a collision with the railway bridge at Queen Adelaide in Cambridgeshire. Thankfully no one was hurt. Rail services were suspended for a time whilst the Emergency Services and our Operations Team carried out the necessary safety checks to ensure that the bridge was safe.

We are working with the relevant authorities to identify the cause of the incident.

Thanks to the speedy response of the Emergency Services and Ellgia’s Operations team who were on site within minutes to secure the area, assess the damage, recover the vehicle and clear the road of any debris. We appreciate the impact delays can have on people on the roads and rail and will carry out a thorough investigation of the incident and make any necessary adjustments as a result.
